Leslie Leclair

Leslie LeClair is a Lakes Region resident and an advocate for children, community, and access to the arts. She is a mother of three, including a daughter who plays violin, and her personal experience searching for meaningful music instruction and performance opportunities in a rural area led her to a simple belief: when you can’t find what you’re looking for, you create it. That mindset is what brought her to Squam Ridge School of Music, where she is excited to now be part of helping build those opportunities for others.

As Pablo Picasso once said, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” Leslie sees that as the spirit behind Squam Ridge School of Music, creating opportunities for musicians of all ages to discover their voice, share it with others, and experience the joy and growth that comes from making music together.

Leslie has a background in child development and group therapy, with years of experience supporting children’s growth, communication, and emotional well-being. Since relocating to New Hampshire, she has transitioned into a remote role in the tech industry, allowing her to stay closely involved with her children while continuing to grow professionally.

Outside of work, Leslie enjoys hiking, skiing, and live music of all kinds, bluegrass, folk, rock, and country, with a newly growing appreciation for classical music through her daughter’s love of the violin. Originally from Connecticut, she now calls the Lakes Region home and is deeply connected to the community.

She is passionate about helping Squam Ridge School of Music inspire, uplift, and connect people through accessible, high-quality music education and meaningful performance opportunities.
