Ridgeline Summer String Camp

Intermediate Violin, Viola & Cello Camp for Kids

Take your playing to the next level! Ridgeline Summer String Camp is designed for developing string musicians who already have some experience on the violin, viola, or cello and are ready to build confidence, strengthen technique, and deepen their ensemble skills.

Through a week of engaging instruction, students will explore musicianship, rhythm, listening skills, creativity, movement, and collaborative music-making in a supportive and encouraging environment. Camp activities are designed to challenge students appropriately while fostering a lifelong love of music.

Ideal for students with approximately 2–4 years of string study, Ridgeline Summer String Camp provides opportunities for students to refine their technique, improve reading skills, develop stronger ensemble awareness, and gain valuable performance experience alongside peers of similar ability.

Students will work with experienced string educators and participate in daily ensemble rehearsals, theory courses, creative activities, and group instruction designed specifically for intermediate-level musicians.

The Ridgeline Summer String Camp schedule also overlaps with the Foundation Summer String Camp, providing opportunities for mentorship by the more experienced students, to help the younger students along. This creates a sense of community, friendship, teamwork, responsibility, and builds trust among the students.

Whether your child is preparing for youth orchestra participation, seeking additional summer enrichment, or simply looking to grow as a musician, Ridgeline Summer String Camp offers an inspiring week of musical growth and community.

This day camp takes place at our Sandwich, New Hampshire location on 420 Holderness Road (route 113).
