Purpose:
The Children’s Choir was formed to provide opportunities for the children of Sandwich and surrounding communities to participate in a quality choral music education program outside of the classroom. We create a positive environment for learning and your children will work with an experienced Children’s Choral Director and Accompanist. Your child’s relationship with us will be not only positive, but life changing. This program is designed for the child’s beginning and advancing musical experience.
Goals:
This choir program brings the power and discipline of quality choral music education as a vehicle to help children develop excellence in musicianship, self-confidence, social awareness and academic skills while setting the stage for continued active involvement in choral singing throughout their lives. Students who love to sing and are committed to learning are invited! Excellence in healthy vocal technique, music literacy, and choral part-singing skills all provide the context for learning in these ensembles for the beginner choral student, aged 8-12.
Choir Director
Noelle Beaudin is a children’s choir conductor and music educator passionate about helping young singers discover the joy of making music together. She believes that every child has the ability to sing and that choral music provides a unique opportunity to build confidence, creativity, discipline, and a sense of belonging.
Educated at the Boston Conservatory of Music, Noelle brings both formal training and extensive practical experience to her work with young singers. She currently serves as Choir Director for the Unitarian Universalist Society of Laconia (UUSL), where she leads choral ensembles and fosters meaningful musical experiences for singers of all ages.
Throughout her career, Noelle has studied and collaborated with respected choral educators and conductors, including Jane Berlin Pauley of the New England Conservatory, gaining valuable insight into choral pedagogy, rehearsal techniques, and vocal development. Drawing on these experiences, she creates engaging rehearsals that combine strong musical instruction with encouragement, creativity, and a sense of community.
As Children’s Choir Director at Squam Ridge School of Music, Noelle guides young singers in developing healthy vocal technique, musicianship, performance skills, and artistic expression in a supportive environment. Her rehearsals emphasize teamwork, musical excellence, and the joy of singing, helping children build confidence both on and off the stage.
Through performances, community engagement, and collaborative musical experiences, Noelle seeks to cultivate not only skilled singers but also a lifelong appreciation for music, the arts, and the power of singing together.
